Our Story and Vision

I started playing tennis at an early age, encouraged by my mother, who was a tennis coach. A love of the sport has stayed with me ever since — from watching the professionals at tournaments to playing socially in clubs and while travelling abroad.

After retiring as a Chief Financial Officer, having lived in different countries for many years, I saw an opportunity to combine my lifelong passion for tennis and professional business experience.

From Auckland to Tokyo, tennis offered immediate social connection in new places with different cultures. Latterly with the luxury of time, I visited many European tournaments and played at resorts with dedicated tennis centres. More recently I discovered and came to know Mouratoglou’s centre in Greece, set in a beautiful part of the mainland.

Visiting tournaments, I started meeting the same people at different ones. Contrasting these different experiences, it was clear to me that, for some, expectations around tennis travel have shifted towards meaningful social connection in a relaxed style where you can also enjoy the place personally. Travellers generally are seeking more active experiences and there has been a significant growth in sole travel.

It was an easy choice for me to found TennisOx with a vision of creating a different kind of tennis travel – personally researched trips, thoroughly planned, backed with trust and the highest business standards.

With the sole objective of offering trips with tennis at their centre, and a feeling of time well spent which stays with you long after. The philosophy is simple; to know that if you travel with us, you can sit back knowing that everything from ease of joining a group, tickets, accommodation, restaurants and itineraries will all work. With informal access to personal advice before and during a trip.

Nothing gave me greater pleasure than to welcome a small group to the 2026 Italian Open and share some wonderful days in the Eternal City. It made the vision a reality and inspiration, most memorable though because of the people and how easily we came together. The is something special about doing a trip like this with others, talking tennis, celebrating big points and dinners.

In the same way I now look forward to welcoming groups to Costa Navarino, where over the years I have come to know the resort and Mouratoglou Tennis Centre team closely, and we are jointly committed offering the best possible tennis escapes with tennis at their centre.
